Barnsley 1-1 Derby

An away trip to Yorkshire yielded a much needed point for the Rams.

Just a few weeks ago, Derby were sitting just outside of the play off zone. They now find themselves in the bottom half of the table and are by no means safe from relegation.

Derby certainly had the better chances in the first half and 16 year old Mason Bennett added a much needed spark up front in place of Sammon who dropped to the bench.

Despite this the game remained goalless at the break.

Two minutes into the second half Barnsley took the lead when O'Grady volleyed in from close range after Scotland flicked on a through ball. From that moment Barnsley looked the most threatening side and more likely to score. That was until the final moments when Paul Coutts met a corner to head home and rescue a point.

Next up is a home game against Peterborough who have recently hit some form. Hopefully Nigel Clough will give Bennett another start!
