Derby 1 Ipswich 1 - After match thoughts

We started this game well enough and for the first twent minutes or so were dominating.

Jamie Ward was giving the visitors plenty to worry about and when Chris Martin scored his fourth goal of the season it looked like another rout could be on the cards.

That was until Jeff Hendrick dislocated his shoulder and regrettably had to leave the game. This seemed to upset the balance in the side.

From them on Ipswich moved up a gear and started to get back into the game. They were the better side in the second half and it was no surprise at all to see them equalise.

The Tractor Boys did look the more likely of the two sides to snatch a victory as the game went on too!

It's still early days, but there are some questions that need to be answered for the Rams.
it was always going to be difficult replicating the form of last season from the off, however we seemed to have turned full circle.

Forsyth, Bryson and Hughes were simply awful on Saturday.

We waste set piece chances still and are very weak at defending from them.

Ryan Shotton impressed in the cup game v Charlton as did Ivan Calero. Neither played a part on Saturday.

Our next game away at Forest will be the hardest of the season so far. A performance like that will see nothing but a humiliating hiding at our rivals.

Jordon Ibe has been brought in, and there's other options too, but how many changes could the side take before losing all pattern and balance.

One thing is for sure is that Jeff Hendrick will be out for a few weeks and that's another hole that'll need filling.

Zak Whitbread has impressed in the cup games and must be wondering what he has to do to get into a league starting line up. Especially as Keogh is not at his best and Buxton is struggling with injury.

A lot of homework is in need during the international break.
