Derby 5 Wolves 0

Yesterday's early kick-off for Sky TV cameras saw us put on a show for the viewers.

A clinical, no messing demolition of Wolves was witnessed also by over 30,000 fans inside the iPro Stadium.

This was a masacre of another team who themselves have had a good start to the season since promtion from League one.

Every single Derby player had a good game and this team has produced its best performance of the season without Thorne, Bryson, Whitbread, Grant and Ward. All key players missing through injury.

Omar Mascarell was including in the starting eleven much to the surprise to many fans who had expected a recall for John Eustace. The selection proved right though as the Spanaird produced a performance that had many people chosing him for the man of the match.

Mascarell did bring something to the team that we have been missing all season and that is a threat from set pieces. One of his free kicks led to our opening goal by Ryan Shotton.

Hughes, the two goal Hendrick and Mascarell put in a masterful performance in midfield.

One would think that when we hit five goals that Chris Martin would surely have been in the scoresheet. Not this time as Johnny Russell scored a brace and continued his fine run of form of late.

The frontflip celebration was something else too!

An excellent result and we sit at the top of the table as we go into the international break too!

All in all a great day!
